Ae moust
Mud Silk, also known as Xiang Yun Sha, is a naturally dyed silk fabric finished through a traditional process involving plant-based tannins, river mud and sunlight. Its distinctive surface, colour variation and subtle irregularities are part of the material’s character rather than defects.
To preserve your Mud Silk garment:
-
Professional dry cleaning is recommended.
-
Do not machine wash, tumble dry or bleach.
-
Avoid soaking, scrubbing, hard twisting or wringing the fabric.
-
Keep away from long-time direct sunlight or strong artificial light, as
extended exposure may cause uneven fading.
-
Avoid direct contact with chemicals.
-
Take care around rough surfaces.
-
If the garment becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture with a clean,
soft cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally in the shade.
-
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
-
Do not place heavy pressure on the garment during storage, as this may
create permanent creases or surface marks.
Due to its natural dyeing and finishing process, Mud Silk may gradually soften, develop subtle tonal changes and reveal a more individual surface over time. These natural changes are part of the material’s ageing process and unique beauty.
